The Abandonded: Restaurant Section

Excited to share a current WIP from the Restaurant Section of our upcoming survival title, *The Abandoned*, based on the novel by Kol Humphries, Founder of The Grumpus Studio.

I was responsible for modelling the core structural and architectural elements of the canal-overlooking restaurant façade. This phase focuses on establishing clean, readable silhouettes, disciplined proportion control, and a modular framework that supports scalability, destruction states, and downstream detailing.

The objective at this stage was structural clarity over surface noise, ensuring strong primary and secondary forms that hold up at distance while maintaining architectural credibility at player scale. The building massing, column rhythm, window cadence, and cornice breaks were designed to reinforce navigational readability and environmental storytelling before moving into the detailed pass.

This section was developed under the direction of Lead Technical Environment Artist Naveen Kavinda, aligning with our production pipeline and modular environment standards for The Abandoned.
